Nikole Ostrov, MD

Dr. Ostrov is a fellowship trained obstetrician/gynecologist with a subspecialty in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery. She believes in a comprehensive approach to women's health care and has a special interest in treating pelvic pain, abnormal uterine bleeding, fibroids and endometriosis.

As a patient advocate, Dr. Ostrov is dedicated to a multidisciplinary and multimodal approach to treating and preventing disease. Dr. Ostrov has won multiple awards for both her surgical and teaching skills and has been praised for her exceptional bedside manner. Prior to joining the practice, she was formerly the Chief Resident as well as an assistant clinical instructor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at SUNY Stony Brook University Medical Center. She is currently a Clinical Instructor at NYU Langone Medical Center.

Dr. Ostrov is involved in many national and international health organizations, including the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, International Pelvic Pain Society and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Among her many research interests, Dr. Ostrov has presented on the role of diet and genetics in women's health issues and the prevention of post-operative complications.

Kenneth A. Levey, MD, MPH

Kenneth A. Levey MD MPH completed both college and medical school at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He completed his residency on Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2001 and his Masters in Public Health in 2001 at the George Washington University Medical Center. He has been a faculty member at the NYU Langone Medical Center since 2001. While at NYU, Dr. Levey founded the Bellevue Hospital chronic pelvic pain clinic where women with chronic pelvic pain continue to be treated.  He is also the founder and Director of the NY Pelvic Pain and Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery P.C. The group of subspecialty physicians focuses on unique multidisciplinary approaches to diagnose and manage women with chronic pelvic pain. This includes endometriosis, irritable bowel syndrome, interstitial cystitis, nerve entrapments, pelvic musculoskeletal disorders, rheumatologic disorder, gastrointestinal, female reproductive, and psychiatric disorders.

Dr. Levey is a well known expert in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. He has used his skills in laparoscopy and robotic surgery to help women avoid hysterectomy, treat fibroids, endometriosis, large pelvic masses and chronic pelvic pain. He also receives referrals from other surgeons to treat highly complex benign gynecologic conditions. He is an active member of the faculty at the Robotic Surgery Center at NYU.

He is a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, International Pelvic Pain Society, and American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He is a Fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Moushumi Shoma Datta, MD, is a fellowship trained board-certified gynecologist, offering a full range of expert gynecologic care and specializing in minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Datta provides routine office visits for examinations, tests, and birth control; in addition, she has expertise in the latest treatments for non-cancerous gynecologic problems, including the most sophisticated minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgical procedures.

Dr. Datta completed an accelerated BS-MD joint program at the College of New Jersey and the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey. During her obstetrics and gynecology residency at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutes, Dr. Datta developed a keen interest in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, that is, laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. Such surgery utilizes small cameras and specialized instruments to operate within the abdomen, pelvis, and uterus, thus avoiding large incisions and allowing for fast recovery. Upon graduation from her residency program, she was named the Outstanding Laparoscopic Surgeon of her class by the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons (SLS) and received the Resident Achievement Award in laparoscopic procedures from the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL).

After residency, Dr. Datta continued her training in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery during an AAGL fellowship program at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Datta is an experienced surgeon perforing complicated laparoscopic and robotically assisted procedures utilizing the daVinci robotic surgery system. She is an author of several laparoscopic and robotic surgical outcome studies that have been presented at national conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals. Overall, she has gained extensive operative experience in complex cases of uterine fibroids, endometriosis, and other pelvic pathology.  Dr. Datta is also currently a reviewer for the International Journal of Gynecology and Obstetrics. She is fluent in Bengali and conversant in Spanish.

Shannon Hudson, MD

Dr. Hudson completed her medical school and residency training at SUNY downstate Brooklyn in 1999. She entered into private practice as a comprehensive gynecologist in Manhattan, New York.
 She is an expert in minimally invasive surgery, as well as hormonal management, pre-and post menopausal issues and the interface between mood disorders and gynecology. Dr Hudson is a frequent guest commentator on radio and television reaching a broad audience. She is known for discussing gynecological issues in a clear and understandable way.

Dr Hudson is a diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology,
a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member
of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.

Janette Davison, MD

Dr. Davison offers office and surgical gynecologic care for a wide range of benign gynecologic issues.  She received her BA with distinction in all subjects from Cornell University and her MD from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, where she was a member of the AOA honor society and received the Glasgow-Rubin achievement award given to women graduating at the top of their class.  Dr. Davison received the Resident Achievement Award from the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons upon graduation from her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYU Medical Center.  

She has a special interest in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and has published and presented in the areas of laparoscopy and the use of local anesthetic agents during particular office gynecologic procedures.  Dr. Davison is a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is an Ad Hoc reviewer for the Journal of Women’s Health Care.

Dr. Davison is currently a Fellow in Minimally Invasive / Robotic Gynecologic Surgery and Chronic Pelvic Pain.

Jessica Azad, PA

Jessica Azad graduated from Pace University in 2007 with an MPA (Masters in Physician Assistant Studies).  Since graduating, she has been working clinically with a focus in women’s health performing routine gynecological exams, consults and management.  In recent years, she has also volunteered her time abroad to offer a variety of women’s health services to those without access to proper medical care.  Jessica’s approach to medicine is very comprehensive and she strives to ensure that patients are properly informed while encouraging them to take an active approach to their own treatment.
